ICE and LAC 2016

The International Casino Expo (funkily styled ICE Totally Gaming) and the London Affiliate Conference are the two most important gaming conferences in the calendar and they fall back to back at the start of February 2016.

ICE 2016

ICE is a must-attend for gaming executives focused on B2B product and business development. The remarkable attendance offers unending opportunities to network – I was one of 3 unrelated Galanis’ attending last year, just to give you an idea of the volume of people that will be passing through the doors at Excel between 2nd and 4th February this year. Over 25,000 people clocked in last year.

For those looking to create or progress their retail or online gaming products, the exhibitors cover pretty much every single base imaginable, from slot banks to electronic gaming terminals to croupier training to iGaming licensing.

Land-Based Player Acquisition through online

I will be attending ICE predominantly to seek out land-based casino operators in Europe, Africa and Australasia seeking to diversify their activities in the online environment. Representing PLAYSTUDIOS, the creators of the renowned myVEGAS social and mobile applications and the recently launched KONAMI Slots game, I will be looking to explore potential partnerships that engage a highly active global audience of over 37m players with casinos, retail and tourist operators around the world. This operator/player engagement takes the form of provision/purchase of tangible on-property rewards which can be earned through gameplay, with a view to significantly driving footfall to land-based properties from an online environment. We have successfully expanded reach beyond the United States with 2015 launches of partnerships with the Hippodrome Casino in London and Resorts World Birmingham. If you would like to find out more about partnership opportunities with PLAYSTUDIOS or to arrange a meeting with me or Paul Mathews, the company’s chairman, please contact me through LinkedIn.

ICE Conference Sessions

Alongside this, I will be moderating a panel at ICE, which forms part of the Cross-Platform and Multi-Channel Gaming track, where we will be exploring developments in marketing and product evolution on mobile to optimise player acquisition, retention and user experience on mobile and cross-platform. Joining me will be Hanna Forsström of Finland’s Slot Machine Association, Frederic Francois of the Belgian National Lottery, Richard Lee from Unibet and Shaz Mirza from Pokerstars.

Paul will also be talking at ICE, alongside the Hippodrome’s Simon Thomas, to discuss incorporating social gaming as a player acquisition function and a loyalty tool – taking inspiration from successful US models, including myVEGAS.

2016 for GameOn Affiliates

2016 will also see GameOn Affiliates drive the development and launch of an exciting new Asian-facing poker product in conjunction with Fabled White Eagle and ICE will act as an opportunity to engage potential partners in the success we believe this project will yield.

Elsewhere, our activity at GameOn Affiliates extends to player marketing efforts in the iGaming space and much of our focus in 2016 will continue to be customer acquisition on behalf of our clients, which include BetVictor, Lucky247, Trada Casino and LeoVegas.

London Affiliate Conference 2016

Forming and expanding upon relationships with affiliates and marketing partners will be the focus of our activity at the London Affiliate Conference, which takes place at London Olympia between 4th and 7th February. It will be the 10th year in succession that we’ve attended this event and it has grown from strength to strength, becoming the backbone event of the global iGaming marketing community. If you are a casino, sports or poker affiliate looking to work with a proactive master affiliate in forming and maximising partnerships with only the most reputable operators online and would like to set up a meeting with either Elliott Resnick or me at LAC, please get in touch through LinkedIn.
